I keep a status log of work across the team. Of my conversations. Of all of my questions and answers that week.
It’s a place to see everything that’s happening.
Engineering: what’s being worked on. Design: the latest sketch files. Legal: the questions we’re tackling. Etc.
It’s not long. Half a page. Updated once a day.
I do the same for each project I work on. There are 5 right now.
It’s low lift effort, big dividends.
People know they can check the document when they want to know something. If they still have questions, then they ask me. It saves me time. It saves them time.
As a PM, if there are any surprises, you’ve failed.
