You shouldn’t have a rigid product roadmap for the next few years. It wouldn’t make sense. The world changes too quickly.
Having a long term vision is important. But focus on principles. Don’t bind yourself to a timeline or feature set.
I don’t call my team the “Referrals, Affiliates, and Ambassadors team.” We’re the “People Powered Growth” team. One day, we may finish the three programs we’re building. But we won’t be finished finding ways to help grow Airbnb through people.
