Michael Gribben, PM @ Google. Pt 3

When I first started as a PM, I didn’t think I was contributing anything.

The designers designed the product. The engineers built the product. But as the PM, I didn’t have a tangible output.

Sometimes, I felt like I was getting credit for their work. Like I was being parasitic.

I don’t think that anymore.

I started appreciating the intangibles. Building enthusiasm for a clear goal. Taking care of any distractions. Staying optimistic.

By acting as the focal point for the team, the whole team’s output is my output.
